Group Fares vs. Missionary Fares

Group Fares

  • Wanting to travel with lots of friends or family members and save on cost?  Group fares are generally cheaper than regular published airfares and offer more flexibility than individual bookings.
  • To qualify for a group fare, a minimum of 10 people must travel on the same itinerary.  Though group contracts vary by carrier, group reservations offer the benefits of extended ticketing and flexibility of a name submission deadline, while giving your group the security of a locked in base fare.
  • With a $40-$100 deposit per seat, take the time you need to decide exactly who will be traveling, prepare your group, and raise the funds for non-profit or mission trips with the assurance that your base will not change.

Missionary Fares

  • Missionary Fares offer discounted rates to travelers serving with non-profit organizations.  In addition to discounted rates, missionary fares provide the flexibility of ticketing 45 days prior to departure, and some airlines also give free additional baggage allowance to missionary travelers!
  • To qualify for a missionary fare and lock in a base fare, each traveler must provide his or her full passport name and the name and Tax ID number of the organization with which he works.  Missionary fares should be paid preferably by check or money order.  (Credit cards are accepted but are charged a 4% additional fee)  Deposits vary based on season of travel and destination.
